I thought it was well written, tasteful, and no, I don't work for the studio. Ha. Ha. They took a good series of movies and made them into an interesting TV series. There are plot twists. We see information about the characters. Characters are developed in that one would start as one type of person and through personal experience or those of others become something else as in the case of Chase or Krista. I liked the part where we, the viewers, saw how Marcus got to where he was though we didn't actually see how he built his real estate empire we did see how he interacted with his superiors who treated him like a dog. And, then 100 years later he had developed a biological agent and killed them. I saw some scenes from a second season showed on TV a few months ago. I haven't seen too much on the web about the series. Keep up the good work.
I read the comic book and seen all three movies. The series is darker and nastier. Kirk "Sticky" Fingas is a worthy Blade. Nelson Lee is Blade's partner, Shen - combination support, computer and video hacker, and the one person that can keep Blade from going too out of control. Jill Wagner is Krista Starr, a veteran looking to avenge her brother's death at the hands of the vampires, who becomes one herself. Blade rescues her and she goes undercover. Neil Jackson and Jessica Gower are Van Sciver and Chase. Van Sciver is the vamp in charge of the Detroit office of the House of Chthon and Chase is the lady vamp is is loyal and in love with him. Attempts are made on both sides to eliminate the other. The action is fast-paced and the It's a combination of horror, intrigue, and thriller. However, it is NOT for kids. It is bloody and the language is crude when they swear. These are definitely not nice people. Could use a little more humor but that's a minor detail. I gathered the first 11 on Tivo and watched them in three days. It was awesome!!! I couldn't wait for the next episode. The special effects are nice when a vampire is taken out. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Can't wait for season 2!!!

On DVD Unrated versions of the episodes were released that feature not only prolonged plot sequences but also some more violence and nudity.
